The University of Sydney invites applications for Sydney Scholars India Scholarship Program 2020 from Indian students. Students who want to pursue an undergraduate and postgraduate degree at the University of Sydney are eligible for this scholarship. The aim of this scholarship is to support Indian students and foster university’s engagement with India. A total of 28 scholarships will be awarded to the selected students with a value up to AUD 50,000 each for a specific duration.
Eligibility
To be eligible, an applicant must:
Be an Indian citizen and currently residing in India
Not be a permanent resident of Australia
Have applied for an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree but not commenced yet
Advantages
Total 28 scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis, consisting of:
3 scholarships of AUD 50,000 per annum for any undergraduate student for up to four years.
10 scholarships of AUD 20,000 for first-year undergraduate and postgraduate students.
15 scholarships of AUD 10,000 for first-year undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Selection Criteria
The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and statements made by the applicants in the application form.
Terms and Conditions
- Commencement of the scholarship will be in the same semester or year in which it is offered.
- To continue with the scholarship in the next semester, the students must maintain a minimum 65 Semester Average Mark (SAM) in each semester.
- Once the scholarship gets terminated, it will not be reinstated unless it is due to university error.
- No other amount than the scholarship value will be paid.
