UP CPMT 2013 - Utter Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test acronym as UP CPMT is taken on behalf of the Government of Uttar Pradesh by Lucknow University, for admission to the 1st year of M.B.B.S., B.D.S., B.H.M.S., B.A.M.S. and B.U.M.S. courses in various Government and recognized/approved Medical/Dental/ Homeopathic /Ayurvedic/Unani Colleges of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates can choose from 41 Private and Government institutes through this examination. 8 of these institutes offer courses in MBBS, 15 offer BDS and the remaining offer BUMS, BHMS and BAMS.
The candidate for appearing in the exam must have passed in 10+2 in the science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English as one of subjects or other equivalent examination of recognized Board / University in U.P. with 50% average marks in the Science subjects (for General category candidates) and 40% for OBC/SC/ST candidates.
Note: The candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in the year respective year are also eligible, subject to the showing of evidence of passing the examination at the time of counselling.

Eligibility for MBBS/BDS courses:
Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination, recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject. As per the Medical Council of India (MCI) and Dental Council of India (DCI) norms the candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates and OBC Candidates of Karnataka) taken together in PCB.
Aspiring candidates must secure at least 50% marks( 40% in case of SC/ST candidates) in PCB in the Common Entrance Test.
He/she shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December (31/12/2013) of the year of admission to the MBBS/BDS course.
Eligibility for B.E:
General Merit Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent qualifying Examination recognized by State / Central Government with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks ( 40% in case of SC/ST candidates and OBC Candidates of Karnataka) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology or Electronics as one of the optional subjects. English as one of the language of study is compulsory. There is no minimum mark fixed for entrance test. Hence all candidates who have taken the entrance test will find a place in the merit list as per their performance.
A candidate who has passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government and having obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in case of SC/ST and OBC Candidates of Karnataka). Aspiring candidate should have appeared for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture with a minimum score of 80 out of 200 for both general merit and category candidates.
COMEDK will not be conducting any Common Entrance Test for candidates seeking admission to B.Arch (Architecture Course) as per existing rules.
COMEDK UGET will consist of questions from the subject of the level of +2 or equivalent.
COMEDK UGET consists of one Combined paper for Physics and Chemistry that will be compulsory for all the candidates appearing for COMEDK UGET.
The test is compulsory for all candidates seeking admissions to M.B.B.S., BDS and B.E courses.

AIPVT - All India Pre-Veterinary Test acronym as AIPVT is an All India Pre Medical Test conducted by Veterinary Council of India on National basis to fill 15% of total number of seats in Veterinary Colleges in India (excpet from Jammu and Kashmir) from Indian Nationals for admission to 1st year of B.V.Sc.& AH course .
Note: Students from the State of Jammu and Kashmir are not eligible to appear in this test, as that State has not adopted the provisions of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 in the State of Jammu and Kashmir.The Veterinary Council of India is a statutory body established under Indian veterinary council Act, 1984 (52 of 1984) and charged with the responsibilities of regulation of Veterinary practice, preparation and maintenance of Indian Veterinary Practitioner's Register, regulation of minimum standards of Veterinary education and matters connected therewith.

Although NEET will be applicable to mostly all the Medical Colleges in India but there were some exclusions. There will not be any negative marking in NEET UG exam and the merit list will be prepared on the basis of percentile score of all NEET MBBS applications.
